I've been a Rogers cell phone client for over 25 years, averaging that to $30 per month works out to about $9000 over those 25 years. My wife has been a customer for almost as long, so between us it's almost $18000 to Rogers. We would upgrade our phones every 2 years we have a plan that doesn't include data because we don't need it. We even had Rogers wireless internet for a while because they were the only one who offered it out here in the country. We have never missed a payment and have maintained a virtually flawless account standing. Imagine my surprise when I went to upgrade my phone this time, I was told that in no way was I going to be able to keep my current plan and be eligible for a hardware upgrade. No offer of compromise, no discussion. It's not like I wanted the world, as a matter of fact I was looking at a refurb phone for about $15.00/month but again met nothing but resistance and a firm no. I'm very disappointed in the way I was treated and very disappointed in the lack of customer service. They used to be very reasonable and accommodating but I guess those days are over. I won't be recommending Rogers to anyone any more and I'll be sure to share my feelings with anyone who asks if I would recommend them. Thanks for nothing Rogers.
