Hey everyone,
we’re slowly running out of space in our storage room and could really use some creative ideas 😅
Size: 180x90cm or roughly 5’11” by 2’11”
Right now, we mostly store:
- Shoes (a lot of them…)
- Backpacks & bags (also a lot of them…)
Aditionally:
- Ironing board + iron
- Dyson vacuum
- Raclette grill
- Misc stuff like oat milk, tissues, etc.
The problem: it’s getting more and more cramped, and it always looks messy no matter how often we tidy up. We’re definitely lacking a proper system—right now things are just kind of placed wherever they fit.
Do you have any tips on how to use a space like this more efficiently?
- Good shelving systems?
- Ideas for vertical storage?
- Hacks for organizing shoes & bags?
- Or just clever solutions that worked well for you?
I’d really appreciate any advice 🙏
Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I’m currently trying to clean up a pretty large Apple Photos library on my MacBook (Apple Silicon), and I’m looking for a solid tool that can detect not just exact duplicates, but also similar photos and low-quality shots (blurry, bad lighting, etc.).
I came across Photiva, and I’m considering the paid version. Before I buy it, I wanted to ask:
- Has anyone here actually used Photiva (paid version)?
- How well does it work in real-world use (accuracy, speed, false positives)?
- Does it handle “similar photos” and bad shots reliably?
Also very important to me:
I’m specifically looking for tools that run locally on macOS (no cloud uploads, privacy-friendly).
So I’d love to hear:
- Are there better alternatives you’d recommend?
- Maybe something like PhotoSweeper or other apps that work directly with Apple Photos?
Would really appreciate any honest experiences or recommendations!
Thanks 🙏
