Just lost my Lucario thanks to Me First,

I thought that Me First gave +1 priority to the user but I was mistaken. I got caught by a random trainer on route 5 using a Sigilyph. I had to switch around with my team to get it's HP down until it was in the red. Sigilyph whirlwind my sandile and forced Lucario out. I thought I was in the clear to use Me First and win but we SPEED TIED and I lost Lucario to its Air Cutter.

I should've just kept Quick Attack
