Michael is terrible at his job
I only started the series (S1E19)
If I remember correctly Michael was sent there to find out what happened to the woman (Diandra? I keep confusing her name and Zack's original name) and so far he discovered....nothing? Everyone around him is uncovering the truth bit by bit like every second episode, he broke into Susan's house and.....Oh! He broke into that one dude's house for some reason and got shot. Martha's sister got like 1/3 of the mystery and she bearly had to do anything, it's episode 19 and he didn't even knew the woman was already dead, did he made any actually progress beside getting to the neighborhood? If that was even his work.
