My normally trustworthy "Coopie" of 2004 is a bit sick unfortunately:
She has a weird sound when idling and driving in first, second and reverse. Sounds a bit hoarse like there's a belt or something slipping. The clutch also feels a bit spongy and vibrates sometimes. But there are no warning lights on, on the dash. I normally have a very trusty repair shop where she gets serviced but that's around 100km from my current position.
Oil, coolant etc. has already been checked and there are no issues there.
So I have 2 questions for the community basically:
How sick is she?
Is it better to take it to a nearby dealer and accept to be stifled or try to have it diagnosed by roadside assistance and if safe, drive her to her normal car doc.
Thanks in advance!
