Hi all, I am a freshman in college, and during my first semester I was assaulted by my romantic partner at the time. The problem that I have right now is that we are both freshman anthropology majors and this are in similar social circles on campus. We're in similar classes, and they are the president of the anthropology club on campus. Im not changing my social circles because anthro is what I want to study and the club offers great resources for undergraduate students.

Does anyone have advice for dealing with being in constant interaction with someone who assaulted you?

So far I can get by because I have other friends in those circles who are suppotive and know my situation, but still being near/interacting with the person who did that to me takes a massive toll on my mental health. It also doesn't help that it's a relatively small campus so will run into them randomly.

Any advice or support is appreciated, thank you!!
