I am not much educated about Shopify yet but playing around with an idea for a custom gift box store on shopify.

The idea is simple but I'm not sure how to set it up properly. I want customers to build their own gift box, may be for birthday, wedding, corporate gifts or even small holiday gifts.

like they can chose the box size, select few items to add inside, write a gift message, choose wrapping style, and maybe leave some delivery notes.

But inside Shopify, i feels like variants can become messy very fast. specially with different combination and extra pricing. I also don't want the product page to look too crowded. Just need a clean way to collect the customer choices properly.

for anyone who sell gift boxes, bundles or personalized products, what setup are you using? Shopify variants, bundle app, product options app, or custom code?

Pretty new to Shopify and I have a pet accessories store with a few custom products. First started with selling custom dog harnesses, also planning custom pet collars (which will come later).

Some options I'm thinking: customers can choose the harness color, pick the size based on their dog's weight, add the dog name on the harness, and sometimes leave delivery instructions or contact number too. I also want to let them upload small tag design later on.

And as a non tech person I want the process simple and clean without overwhelming my product page.

Do you have any custom pet-themed store or custom product store? What options would you implement in your store? Also what tools or apps have you found useful?
