15 year relationship (10 years marriage), toxic but no cheating or physical abuse. Kids, beautiful home, familiar comfort but “ick feeling” when he touches me. I tried really hard for many years (counselling, tears, fights….) I finally stopped crying one day, but stopped loving him too. A year later (I live away from the home) I decide I’m ready to move on and date someone. Suddenly the ex is ready to “change” and “fix everything.” Usual story, don’t know what they have till it’s gone. I dump the new guy and say ok let’s try because he’s the kids father. He seems legit about trying but I just cannot get myself to feel it. WTH? Any advice from someone who’s been through this?
