I am almost 51. My periods were very normal and predictable until last September, when I didn’t get one. I proceeded to have no periods, no spotting, nothing, until March, when I got two periods, and then one in April. For about 6 months there, I thought this was it, I’m halfway to menopause.
Anyway, with return of my periods has come breast swelling and soreness, something I haven’t had much of in a few years. So clearly the hormones were shifting. But now, it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last period, and my breasts are almost as sore as they were 17 days ago. When I was younger, the soreness would be alleviated when I got my period. Now it’s just all the time.
Has anyone else had persistent breast soreness? I am not on the pill or MHT, btw.
