Balance and Timing

The reddit QRF is out in full force today so I feel like I need to give my 2 cents on the situation as a casual collie player.

When I saw all the buffs coming to collies, I knew it was just a temporary solution to bring back the low pop. I was fully expecting most of them to get reverted after a war or two. So I'm not complaining about the fact we got a nerf, like the reddit QRF keeps saying. But I am mad about the speed of it.

Any time the colonials have a complaint about game balance, our feedback is useless. We'll send in plenty of feedback during playtesting, and all of it falls on deaf ears. Unbalanced weapons and vehicles get pushed to the live branch and we just have to grin and bear it.

But when wardens have a complaint about game balance, devman's response is immediate. Feedback sent in during playtesting gets acted on before the changes even make it to a live war. And in the rare cases an overpowered collie weapon slips through the cracks and makes it into the live branch, it only takes one war for devman to nerf it into the ground.

That's my #1 problem with siege camp right now. It takes anywhere from 3 months at best to 3 years at worst for devman to listen to collie feedback. But it only takes a few days at best to a month at worst to listen to warden feedback. I don't understand whats the point of having a dev branch if only 50% of the playtesters get to provide feedback.

To be clear, I think it's a good thing for devs to be so reactive to feedback. It's good that it only takes a few days of playtesting for them to make balance changes. I just wish they were equal about it. Seeing them only react this quickly when collie weapons need nerfs makes the warden bias so much more blatant.
