Fight in the village, had to call cops
I decided to sublet a room in the village since I’m taking some summer courses this year. HUGE MISTAKE.
I’ve seen random sketchy people trying to break into my house and walking away in the middle of the day. I’ve seen >!drug deals and gang members!< exchanging business. However the worst of the worst came to a head tonight.
It’s 3am when I suddenly hear about 3-4 loud men outside of my window shouting. I’m a young female living without roommates; we share a hallway, but that’s it. It was terrifying and so I ended up calling 911. The fighting was so aggressive and I could only give a limited description to the operator because I didn’t want to fully look directly through the window and instead peered from a small distance. It was loud enough for the 911 operator to hear it through the phone, held to my ear, and from inside my house.
They said they would dispatch the cops whenever they got the chance. However, I’m writing this at 5:11am…no cops in sight and the fight went on for a few hours. They left about 1/2 an hour ago to god knows where. I would highly advise living anywhere else other than the village. Go to Vaughan, commute from downtown, just don’t live in the village. It is not safe at all.
