What made you stop looking at your ex through rose colored glasses? How did you lose feelings/ love for your ex?

I just saw a comment on a post where someone said their breakup was so degrading that they lost all feelings they had for their ex

I can't comprehend because I can't imagine losing the love I had for my ex all in one moment

Has anyone experienced something similar?

What was the situation?why did you lose feelings? Even if not similar,what made you never look at your partner the same?
