MG without ocular symptoms?
Hi everyone,
My symptoms started about 4 years ago. At first, I only noticed significant weakness after exercise or physical activity. Later, I started experiencing weakness while blow-drying my hair, and over time it progressed to a feeling of heaviness in my legs and shoulders, along with increasing difficulty walking.
My RNS was positive in only one shoulder muscle, but my antibody tests are negative and my single-fiber EMG around the eyes was normal.
My neurologist believes this is myasthenia gravis based mainly on the positive RNS finding. However, another doctor who performed the SFEMG around my eyes told me that he does not know of MG occurring without ocular symptoms.
I have never had ptosis or double vision. Occasionally, I experience blurry or foggy vision, but nothing more specific.
Has anyone here been diagnosed with MG despite having symptoms mainly in the shoulders and legs, difficulty walking, and no significant ocular symptoms?
I would really appreciate hearing your experiences and stories.

Edit: my neurologist is neuromuscular specialist, that other doctor were just “basic” neurologist..
still do not know what to think about it…
