Swedish 19th century ring

Hi! I have this ring from my great-grandmother, maybe before her? It was missing a diamond (old European cut) so I put in the amethyst. I'm trying to figure out these symbols on the band. Does anyone have a guess on what they mean/when it would be from? My grandmother gave it to my mom who have it to me. Unfortunately my grandmother has passed away, so getting the story is impossible. She was from just north of Stockholm in Törnby.

Thank you!

First time having an air plant, should I trim it more

This is my first air plant, I thought I was doing everything right, but now it looks very angry. I trimmed off the completely dead leaves, should I trim more of it? Does it need more than once a week watering? I live in Colorado so it's very dry here

Doing a PhD in political history

I'm researching where to do my PhD. I was accepted into a few UK programs this round but did not receive any funding... So may reapply next year and hope for the best. I'm an American, but no US universities are researching the topic I'm looking at. I come from a political science/security studies background and am researching a unique aspect of Swedish political history. Would it be beneficial to take some more history classes? I did take a few previously at the grad school level.

I will apply to the Swedish universities, but they are very very competitive. They also have one or two spots, if any come available.

Office smells like sewage for a week - still have to come in

The office I work in has smelled like sewage for the past week. It was just the bathrooms, but now the smell is spreading. Apparently plumbers are coming Friday to fix it, but it is terrible until then. I have migraines, so may be more sensitive to smells, but it is nauseating. My boss works from home but we have to come in. We're on shift work and we've all said it's bad, but it gets worse at night. What should I do. I've tried a fan with spray to try to work, but that's just not cutting it

Follow up from urgent care, but no PCP openings

I was seen today for potential asthma at urgent care, the doctor there believes it is asthma or some other obstruction in my airway. She wants me to see an ENT doctor within the next week... I would have to get a referral from my PCP, but they have no appointments until the end of July. Is there any work around people have found?

Asthma and the VA

Hi! I got out of the Coast Guard in 2021, I am service connected for a few disabilities. Specifically I feel like I cannot take a deep breath, with doctors for years dismissing it as anxiety (I'm service connected for this). Finally a doctor is listening and realizing it is not anxiety, but likely asthma. Does the VA recognize asthma? How would I prove service connection? I know we had asbestos in the barracks that I lived in for years, it was literally coming out of our heater, though of course they said it was only on one side of the hallway...

Political history

Good morning, I'm wondering how hard the application process is for the political history PhD is? Once you have a supervisor who is interested in what you are studying, do you have a good shot at getting a study spot? Thank you!
