my fil has an 03 gti and was having a misfire code on cylinder 3, i swapped the injectors from 2 to 3 to see if i can eliminate the injector as the culprit. now it has a misfire code on cylinder 2. so i think i figured it out.

anyway, i noticed injector 3 was missing the little plastic bit at the end and cylinder 1 and 2 had it. i don’t know if it fell out during uninstall, but i cant find it anywhere…

question 1 is, what is it? i couldn’t find anything like it at autozone and it doesn’t appear on google images of gti injectors. and question 2, is it needed? please and thank you!
