I’ve made some solid progress on my dark fantasy survivors-like since my last post.

The newest build has a new boss, a new WIP map, 13 new enemy types, and a lot more chaotic upgrade interactions.

It’s still early and needs balancing, but the core loop is starting to feel pretty satisfying.

In total i already made 5 Arenas, 5 Bosses, more then 50 different Enemy Types and like 23 Weapons.

I’d love some honest feedback — especially on the readability, atmosphere, and overall “does this look fun?” factor.

I have a small Discord for playtesting, but I don’t want this to feel like a promo post — happy to share it if anyone is interested.

My first game as a solo dev!

Hey everyone!

I just released an early demo of Duskvein, a dark fantasy 2D bullet-heaven roguelite / survivors-like.

The game already has a full playable loop: menu, character selection, waves, XP gems, level-ups, upgrade choices, multiple weapons, elites, boss fight, victory/game-over screens, gold, saving, and meta-progression through a Bloodline skill tree.

There are currently around 25 weapons, status effects, dash upgrades, ranged enemies, elite/boss enemies, chest drops, and 2 playable maps.

It’s still in development, but I’d love to get honest feedback before moving further toward v1.

Demo: Download the Demo here!

I’d really appreciate thoughts on combat feel, difficulty, readability, upgrades, and whether the game feels fun enough to keep improving.

Thanks for checking it out!

Making my first Game as a solo Dev

Hey everyone!

I’m working on my first serious indie game project called Duskvein — a dark fantasy top-down survivors-like.

It’s still early, but I have the basic gameplay loop running: enemies, auto-attacks, XP gems, level-ups, upgrades, and arena progression.

The main idea is to move through multiple increasingly difficult arenas during one run instead of staying in a single endless map.

I’m posting a short gameplay clip and would really appreciate honest feedback.

Does it look fun?
Does the style work?
Would you try a demo if this keeps improving?

Any feedback or support would mean a lot. Thanks for checking it out!
