Question for buyers

Let's say you wanted a piece and you didnt mind if its new or used . Is there a option for that when you make a wanted list , or can you only select either the new or used , but not both ?

Wanted to share my journey

Here it goes , so for context im 6'2 if it helps calculate bmi . When i had my first i was 27 , 180 pounds and worked out and did martial arts . We had are first by accident , wasn't planned so no problem there. But for are 2nd we started trying , months and years went by . I tried everything , fertility pills , icing my balls , nothing seemed to worked . Ohh also for context i stopped working out/ martial arts and went up to 250pounds. One night my wife broke down crying because we hadn't had a kid yet . For whatever reason that moment hit me hard. I didnt know if losing weight was the answer, but I had to try something. My thought was since I had the 1st at a lower weight, maybe that'd work for the 2nd . So over alot of months I lost like 40 pounds got to like 210 and we got pregnant with the 2nd! After 3 long years we finally had another baby , I literally cried when I found out just because of how hard it was to lose weight and feeling like all that effort was meant for something. For context for that , my wife didnt lose weight or workout and I also didn't workout for that one, just lost weight. Fast forward to now , we waited 2 years for the 3rd , i can't remember exactly why , I think it was because we were getting all the medical debt for the first 2 paid down b4 we tried for the 3rd . So like 2months ago my wife took out the birth control so we could start trying for the 3rd . Ohh for context i gained all the weight back , i was back up to 250. So it was kinda like that song"helllo darkest my old friend" because I had to go back to losing weight. The other day we found out we were pregnant with the 3rd ! For my context my wife had lost like 20 pounds and started working out , but I honestly dont think she was infertile , because for the 1st and 2nd baby she got pregnant had higher weights , so im pretty sure she's always been fertile . So I did start losing weight , but if she's showing pregnant now , I believe that means she got pregnant exactly a month ago . A month ago at most i was only down to 5 pounds to 245 . Im basically trying to say my weight wasn't a factor for this one . Heres the only thing I changed that I truly believe helped me become fertile at this higher weight. I started rucking/wearing weights . Heres exactly what I did. Got 1pound wrist weights , that are adjustable by .125 pounds , I added another .125 pounds each week if I didnt feel sore. Also a weighted vest , i just used a vest that had alot of pockets. I added .5pounds of whatever I had laying around the house each week , mostly spare change. So a month ago at most the weights on my wrist were .125 x 4 and for my vest it was maybe 2-3pounds . So not even alot of weight , but I truly believe it had a massive impact on my fertility. I wore them from when i woke up to 5pm and took sat and sun off. Also this might be tmi , but I believe is relevant, I didnt have morning or night time erections when im at a higher weight. But once I started wearing the weights , I started having them again , which usually I wouldnt have unless I was at a much lower weight. I just thought id share this , because I know how hard it is to go through infertility, and figured there was probably knowone else that would try wearing weights like this to improve there fertility. And if it helped even one person solve there infertility issues and have a baby , i needed to share it.

Tldr: wear weights alot , might fix your infertility.

Do akro mills or drawer units really making picking orders faster ?

I currently use shoe boxes and sandwhich bags to store my inventory. But i was just curious if anyone went from that to the akro mills and how much it made picking orders faster. Im thinking about finally making the upgrade to my storage for my store.

DIY ultra sonic cleaner for lego

Im not sure what I did when cleaning this bulk lot , but more than a usual amount of pieces were still kind of dirty . At first I was just gonna let them soak and try scrubbing later . But I remembered someone talking about a ultrasonic cleaner , which i wanna get one day but don't wanna spend the money for it now. But I remember I had a massage gun , so i held that to the side of the container of water and legos. Im not sure if it was the soaking or if the vibration from the massage gun , but the pieces were super cleaning ! This was just a test , but can't wait to try it on future dirty pieces.

First week of rucking

My set up is a vest with pockets , started with half a pound of weight , moved to a pound after 7 days . I also wear wrist weights , started at .25 pounds on either side , moved to .375 pounds after 7 days .

My routine is that I wear both the vest and wrist weights all day and take 1 day off a week . The first week I would have super slight pain in my arms and my abs and back , so sometimes I would take the vest or wrist weights off , but now I wear them both with zero pain/soreness. Ohh I just added hanging to decompress my back , it feels amazing.

My philosophy is to slowly increase the weight as my body gets stronger and is pain free. The reason why I wear it all day , is because I enjoy it. I think its so cool that I'm getting stronger passively through out the day without even trying. This takes zero time or mental effort , I simple put it on in the morning and take it off at night.

My results , I'm getting stronger , like everything I have to physically move now , feels lighter or moves faster. I can feel/ see slight muscle definition all over my body . I feel much sturdier when moving , like my balance got better. I think my blood flow/circulation is getting better . Overall I'm having alot of fun with this , wish I started years ago .

What do you do with dirty parts

I wash all my pieces before putting them on bricklink , but id say maybe less than 1% come out still dirty . Most the time there pieces that aren't that valuable. Do you take the time to rewash these pieces ? Im tempted to maybe let them soak and attempt to rewash or just put them in a bulk lot and sell them as is .

Has anyone tried micro rucking ?

So I curently don't have time in my schedule to ruck for hours and hours. So I thought it'd be cool to wear weights all day. My current set up is this , 1 pound wrist weights that are adjustable, so i stripped off as much weight as I could so , so now I just have 1/4 pound on each wrist. I also have a reflective vest with a bunch of pockets that I spread a half pound of weight evenly through out all the pockets . I picked the vest because , ive heard anything weighted with just straps hurt/dig into your shoulder . The vest evenly distributes the weight more , they have vest with pockets for weights but there like $350-400 , I didnt wanna get that until I knew id really use it , so thats why I'm testing it with my $15 vest . My goal is to get stronger , build bone density , and burn extra calories . Here's what I've noticed so far , my balance is improving , I feel more steady if that makes sense. My legs/arms are looking / feeling stronger , and i can feel my abs/core which is helping my posture . I have a manual push mower and when I was mowing my legs felt noticeable strong when pushing the mower. Something interesting to , I'm losing weight using a half pound a week calorie deficit. I lost 3 pounds last week and only lost .2 pounds of muscle. Which is crazy because typically I lose a half pound or a pound a week and typically about half of that is muscle . So if I can repeat those results , id continue this just for the simple fact of preserving muscle while losing weight. So ya I'm just trying to get stronger slowly while also being injury free. Just wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has tried anything similar.

Question about using my phone for bricklink

So I currently use my phone for bricklink , but I wanted to add brickowl aswell . I believe you need to have brick freedom in order to merge your bricklink store to your brickowl store . My question is , can I use brickfreedom and brickowl on my phone ? If so , any advice for using brickfreedom and brickowl ?

Storage question

I recently switched to numbers for labeling, but when I go to pick orders , instead of going like 1-10 in order it'll be like 1 , 12, 17, 2, 23 ,24 , 3 , 32 , 34 and so on . I think i remember a video from Montana bricks saying you put 0's in front of it , just curious what people do .

IAmA the guy who survived a Lake Michigan riptide that almost killed my friend. I pushed him off me to save myself. AMA

A few years back me and 3 friends went to Lake Michigan. One friend couldn’t swim. We were only waist-deep but convinced him to go further. 10 seconds later I got hit by a riptide.

Went from feet on sand to treading water instantly. I had a bad sunburn on my shoulder. The friend who couldn’t swim grabbed my shoulders and started dragging me under. I was trying to help but I was going down too.

I made a split-second call, pushed him off, and swam hard for shore. I was so tunnel-visioned that my hands hit the sand before I realized I was there. Another friend in our group saw what happened and saved the guy who couldn’t swim. If he wasn’t there , that guy would have 100% drowned.

I still think about that push. The guilt. The “what ifs.” Also learned real quick what panic does to people in water.

Ask me anything about the riptide, the decision, the aftermath, survivor’s guilt, or water safety. I’ll answer what I can.

Do people want/ use damaged pieces ?

Occasionally I get pieces that are super damaged or scuffed up . I set them aside because I don't think I should put them in my store . I also don't wanna throw them away especially minifugure parts . So do people want these pieces , should I have them in my store , what do people use them for ?

So i started with labeling A-Z for plastic shoe boxes , with 10 bags labeled 1-10 inside , for instance inside A is bags A1-A10. This system has worked great so for but I'm on box Y and I'm about to be to Z , when I started , I didnt think id be here. But now that I am , I don't wanna go past Z bcuz I feel like it'd get confusing after that , and I have so sing the ABC song in my head to get to the right location each time unless its close by lol. Thinking about switching to a numbers only system , I think it'd be simpler , faster to get to a location and could scale forever . But I'm open to suggestions, what do you do ?
