Back to work - building a supply

hi! I am 7 weeks PP and will be heading back to work the first week of july. I currently am working from home at another job. I need to build a supply and am nervous I will not have enough. the job will be 2 days a week on site, 3 days WFH but I want an extra supply to compensate for meetings at home. my plan is to pump every morning but this morning I only put out 2.5 oz for my baby who eats 4 oz per feed. I know output can vary day by day and I am hesitant to pump more frequently as to avoid an oversupply Issue that can lead to mastitis. any suggestions?

Remote LTC/SNF RD day-to-day breakdown

I am a FTM and have the opportunity to start a new job as a hybrid remote RD in LTC - 1-2 days onsite (but don’t have to stay a full day, can essentially pop in to gather info and leave) and 3-4 days WFH. I have worked in LTC before, for 5 years…I spent A LOT of time in meetings, chatting with staff, and still had a good amount of downtime each day, but I do feel like working onsite I got trapped into doing more things than necessary for my role specifically.

The company is pretty corporate, I interviewed with the nutrition manager that oversees a couple of the branches. I originally applied to a PT 3 days/week on site position; however, she had informed me that the hybrid FT position is actually MORE flexible, with the exception of some meetings she said I will be work on my own timeline as long as I meet deadlines for MDS, etc.

Anyone have experience working remote for a nursing home…what does your day-to-day look like? I am leaning to the remote because I believe the less days you have to go in, the less opportunity to get in those stuck positions of having to get called into a last minute meeting or audit or conversation with staff. I also am pretty efficient and although I expect meetings throughout the day I think I will be able to complete my work pretty timely and in under 8 hours/day…..

Sleep or pump if 5 week old sleeps through the night?

i have been EBF, every 2-2.5 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night (our pediatrician and IBCLC said I can do that stretch from the beginning).

I just had my 1 month appointment and pediatrician said don’t wake a sleeping baby at night to feed anymore. she said he likely won’t give me past a 5 hour stretch ANYWAY, but if he’s sleeping I can just let him sleep.

ny question is do I then sleep through the 4 hour stretch or should I pump? I have an appointment with my IBCLC next week and I texted her but figured I’d get some insight in case she doesn’t respond. my mom friends said they did still wake to pump at ~4 hours and would just give the pumped bottle to the baby if/when he woke up.

Hi- I’m a FTM to a 1 week old boy and have just felt a little frazzled/lost when it comes to feeding. Long story short: we had to get an emergency c section and he wasn’t able to even attempt to be fed by me until the next day. During the hospital, I required 4 blood transfusions. The IBLC team told me I might have a delay in my milk production due to everything that happened; so they wanted me to supplement with formula. Additionally , we had some latching issues on one side so they told me if that happens to just pump that side to stimulate production and feed on the other. baby was born at 8 lb, 11 oz and left the hospital at 7 lb 15 oz but the doctors didn’t seem too concerned.
We came home day 4 of life and I of course am still in a little bit of a panic mode. I called a IBLC who is coming to the home today but essentially recommended I excluding breast feed + pump- feedings every 2-3 hours. We have since gone to our first pediatrician appointment and he weighed 8 lbs (6 days old) and she told me to EBF (latch on the other side is better) every 2-3 hours but I can space it out at night to ~4 hours. He weighed 8 lbs at the pediatrician’s office.
Our feeding schedule right now is not really a “schedule”. I read baby’s cues which have seemed to be that he is hungry every hour-hour and a half, but he isn’t staying on as long (~20 minutes) like he was in the hospital. I just feel so lost and all I want to do is make sure my baby is getting everything he needs.
I put pictures of his recent feeds do reference.

Update: I met with the LC today- we did a weighted feed and baby got 1.8oz in a 15 minute feed, which she was happy with!
