I just recently got a cat. She was spayed a week ago. The vet told me they noticed she had fleas so they gave her medicine which would wear off in a day or so. I haven’t noticed any fleas since then until today, I woke up with bites all over my body so I can only imagine how bad it is for her. I went to pet smart and bought a pet armor collar. I just got home and did some research on it and there are a lot of people saying it’s bad and can leave nasty rashes and even cause death. I admit I should’ve done research before buying it. I haven’t put it on her yet or even opened the package, I’m will be returning it but now I’m unsure of what to do to help her. I’m also confused on how she got fleas because she used to be my brother’s kitty and she was always indoors. Any advice would be really helpful.

I’m a new cat owner so this may just be my overthinking. My cat is around 10-11 months, she’s a short hair who was spayed 4 days ago. Today while she was laying on my lap I noticed her breathing seemed fast and she would occasionally do sort of like a double inhale. I’m really worried she might be struggling to breathe. She’s been acting normal the past few days, sleeping most of the time so I’m unsure of what could be wrong. I’m in California and it’s late so her vet isn’t open right now. I’m debating on whether to take her in the morning but I’m just really scared that it might worsen over the night. Any advice would be really helpful.
