Why do people start conversations just to message every couple hours and give dry responses 😭I don’t get the point? Then when im finally kinda over it, they spam message then pull the same stuff again </3 America explain.
Hi guys! I (22F) have been messaging someone (24NB) for about a month now. This person has AuDHD. We get along well and everything, but I just wanted to understand them a little better.
I’m not sure if these behaviours I’ve picked up on are directly because of what they’re diagnosed with, but I figured I’d find out by asking other autistic people.
Firstly, I’ve noticed that they have specific interests that they love talking about, and I like hearing about them too! However, when I ask a question, they often don’t return the question or ask anything back. I often feel like I’m leading the conversation, even though they frequently initiate conversations themselves. I guess it just makes me feel a little like they’re not necessarily interested in me specifically and mostly just want someone they can talk to about their interests.
Also, when I talk about myself or my life, they often respond with something short before pivoting back to talking about themselves. Idrk how to feel about this because we haven’t known each other for very long, so I feel awkward making a big thing of it.
Please give me advice as I have the tiniest crush on this person <3 Thanks!
