Fixed my convertible straps

Convertibles are new to me. I posted my roof in another post and folks recommended to get the straps fixed. Went to LHts website and got them. Installed them myself in a few min.

Before and after interior pics and then picture of the old straps in the trash.

Also did some TLC to the car by filling air into the tire. Next steps are internal engine maint, ie adustments, spark plugs etc.

I assume whoever had this car before me let it sit in the sun etc.

Are there any strengthening topical applications I can use on the convertiable? Ie refresher?

Exterior wise, will need to repair the dings and dents, bumper lift on the front right, paint and install the ap2 rims.

Keeping her refreshed as we continue our Oem restoration.

Backstory: 205k miles and slowly making her clean and reliable.

Big s2000 care day today - brake, clutch and trans fluid including headlight restoration.

Been putting this off for a while. Finally got around to it.

- changed the brake fluid
- changed the clutch fluid (it was super bad wow - now it’s smoother).
- changed the transmission fluid, when draining it was dark brown. I also did a mini early clean fluid wash while the lower screw was open to flush it a bit.
- restored the head lights

Car feels better after this change.

I was going to replace the oem headlights with Amazon or another set but the mother’s diy kit was mind blowing. See the before and after. You guys convinced me to do this. Glad I listened.

Also this was my first time doing brake, trans and clutch fluids. Thanks to YouTube, this Reddit and forums I am now an amateur mechanic.

Background: bought a severely neglected 2002 s2000, has all original vins, 206k miles and I am slowly but surely maintaining and restoring her. I have already done the oil, diff, brakes (rotors and pads are new) and rebuilt the shifter to oem spec etc. have a bit more to go such as internal engine work to ensure she is safe and sound. Had this car for about 1.5years. I have never taken it to 9k rpm lol. Want to do the adjustments internally first before I am ok to go full throttle.

Next major step is paint, minor body work (dings, bumper lift etc). I have the oem spoiler, front lip and spats to install as well (oem knock off) and ap2 rims to put on her.

Overall this car brings a ton of joy. I also need help with the convertible top. Noticed something’s that are concerning but will make another post.
