Hi all,

I’m a London-based writer/director currently developing my debut feature film, Idle Hands. A performance-led dramedy set within the UK theatre world. It leans heavily on character, rhythm, and atmosphere, with a grounded tone that occasionally slips into something more surreal.

I’ve been developing this for a while now (many drafts, a lot of tightening, a fair bit of suffering in the process), and I’m at the stage where I need to start building a small, committed team around it.

Not looking for names on a list — looking for collaborators who actually want to build something.

Where the project is at:

- Script in active refinement (strong structure in place)

- Producer circling (not yet locked)

- Clear tone and creative direction

- Moving toward packaging and development funding (BFI, Film4, etc.)

- Planning a short proof-of-concept as a stepping stone

Who I’m looking for (UK-based ideally):

- Producer (development-focused) — someone story-driven who wants to help shape and package the project

- Line Producer / Production Manager — to start grounding the film in reality early (budget, logistics, feasibility)

- Casting Director — performance is everything here, so this is a key creative role

- 1st AD — calm, organised, and able to handle a performance-led set without killing the energy

- Production Designer — to help define the visual identity of the theatre spaces and environments

- Editor — strong sense of rhythm and pacing, especially with performance-driven material

- VFX Artist — this film leans heavily on atmosphere and internal states through the symbolic use of a fox 🦊 (yep, you heard me)

If you’re someone who:

- Cares about story and character above all else

- Wants to build something from the ground up

- Understands the reality of indie filmmaking (grit required, glamour optional)

- Is interested in something longer-term rather than a one-off job

I’d genuinely love to connect.

I’ve got a one-pager and sample material I can share privately if it sounds like your kind of thing.

Drop a comment or DM me for contact info — even if it’s just to have a conversation.
