AITA for still going to Greece with my best friend I got into a fight with?
My best friend invited me to go on a trip to Greece with a group of friends I met through her. I spent a lot of money on this trip, planned my flights and hotel, and bought outfits. My best friend and I got into a huge fight last night and I still want to go on the trip. I’ve never been to Greece and I’ve been looking forward to it.
Last night we went out for drinks. We ran into a group of people we know and ended up spending our night with them. She mentioned that one of the guys that was there she had made out with and he asked her to go home with him. Later that night he was smoking a cigarette. I jokingly said “ew, why do you smoke?” I grew up around smokers and I just can’t stand it anymore. We hit it off and ended up talking for awhile. Nothing happened though. My best friend was pissed and we fought outside. It ruined the night. She said “do you not remember me telling you I made out with this guy and almost went home with him?”. I told her nothing happened, we just talked.
Mind you, in different group hangs I have told her I thought a guy was cute and she’s gone after that guy too end up making out and hooking up with him. That’s happened 3 times. I never made a big deal of it even though it has hurt my feelings.
I’m nervous that the friend group going to Greece will see me in a negative light. They were her friends first and she has talked poorly of her own friends. I know this because she’s talked bad about her friends to me. I thought it was her just ranting, but now I fear she will do the same thing to me. I still am going to Greece even though this fight blew up last night.
