Hilton London Metropole vs Hilton London Bankside

Hello, we are traveling to London at the end of next month and have had our two Queen superior room booked since last August at Metropole. Been doing some reading lately and I am debating switching to Bankside.

It's roughly an $1100 difference between the two (Bankside is more). Kids are 16 and 12. We'd have to get the family connecting room at the Bankside, which is fine, it's gonna be much larger rooms.

I am curious for people's thoughts on if it's worth the $800 difference? I have Diamond if that makes a difference. I've read that both Exec lounges are nice. Proximity to Paddington is nice for Metropole as I've already booked cheap roundtrip tickets on Heathrow Express.

And my older son and I are taking the GWR on Sunday AM to Cardiff for Metallica but wouldn't mind taking connecting trains to get back to Paddington from Bankside if it's $1100 nicer. LOL

Why have one when you can have … two

I have a dozen posters of Metallica shows over the years but these two are hands down my most favorite.

They’ve been promoted to the wall in my home office. #57 and #56 respectively.

A long time ago, in a city far far away, there was the Metallica Disco club. This wasn’t any ordinary Disco club, it was a Gentlemen’s Disco club 🤣

I believe it was shut down a while ago.
