Flying with lap infant
We have a holiday booked for October. Children will be 4 years and youngest 5 months. For our 4 year old, we have one or the CARES child plane restraints which we'll use to make him more secure in his seat.
For our 5 month old, the plan is to have them strapped to me in a baby carrier, it's one which is quite "sturdy" with two buckles.
Flight time is approx. 4 hours. Is this safe? Now slightly freaking out that it's not.
Previously we've bought an extra ticket and taken car seat on plane but that was for long haul flights to Australia.
EDIT: thanks everyone for your reassurances! I'm definitely over thinking. Due to give birth in 2 days and in the depths of pregnancy insomnia and managed to fill my instagram algorithm with horror stories about flights with babies 🫣
