FL5, 515. PS rant
Got a 515 on AAMC FL5 yesterday (131, 128, 130, 126)
not getting a higher score because I don't give a single shit about Sigmund Freud and attachment styles is the dumbest thing on the planet. GET A GRIP MCAT

So I'm really unsure how to go about my school list as a non-trad. My GPA is pretty low given my early college performance, but it has a massive upward trend into a PhD in engineering. I was an army medic for 5 years, with time in Afghanistan during GWoT. I'm currently a scientist for the Navy in a chemistry and bioscience department.
I'm not sure how to define "reach" for me, and I'm having a hard time knowing who to apply to, given the silliness of my GPA.
Stats
School: Univ Florida
Major: undergrad Civ Eng, Ph.D. Materials Science & Engineering
GPA: 3.4
MCAT: 518
Clinical: ~2000 hours (Army medic, 2009-2015, Afghanistan 2013)
Research: 8 years worth (how to quantify?.. PhD & career scientist, so probably like 10k hours??) 15 pubs, many posters/presentations, 4 patents
Non-clinical: 250 hours (?) (community cleanups, undergrad research mentorship, various charities and community sports coaching)
Shadowing: 40 hours
Recs: 1 MD (Attending ED), 1 Navy Program Officer (medical research funding), 1 PI, 1 stem prof, 1 cancer center director
Application Details: I'm generally looking to apply south of Virginia, and nearer to the coast (I hate cold winters)
Thanks for your input!
What's new? What's hot? What's cool?
I've stuck with GoRuck Macv for a long while, but am curious to new boots offering maximum comfort/support over long periods.
I AM SO HYPED. After getting completely destroyed again and again with JW FL's 1-4, this is a very welcome, happy practice exam result. JW CARS is actually terrible, honestly.
5 weeks remain, and I have done like zero P/S content. Switching to AAMC FL's with 1 FL each weekend, and mixed practice questions and content review between.
Time to cook.
