Delivered item damaged. “Not in stock” for replacement.

Has anyone else had it where you had a delivered item that was damaged. You asked for a replacement. And they said it’s out of stock. However, I can see there are plenty on the website. But they still won’t give me the replacement. I have a case number after I escalated to a supervisor. But they gave me the same candid speech.
