No 5% discount on countertops with lowes card?
Hi guys. I was wondering why the lowes card doesn't result in a 5% discount on countertops? On the checkout page, the 5% off option is greyed out.
So I'm thinking of either just going with the 18 months free financing option or paying it straight up with my discover card which currently has a 5% cash back on home improvement store purchases right now.
No I will not give you Lowe’s credit!
I get so many customers asking for Lowe’s credit when they have absolutely no proof of purchase!
Phone number? No, email? No? Receipt.? No, when did you buy it? Over a year ago, not pulling up under the card you say you paid with.
And then you don’t give the credit and explain it’s Lowe’s policy you have to have some form of proof of payment they get mad and throw a tantrum demanding a manager I get a manager they say the same thing
“But I spend a lot of money here!!!” If I had a dollar for every time a customer said that I wouldn’t have to work at Lowe’s
You aren’t special just because you spend a lot of money here a lot of people spend a lot of money here and respect the policy
The policy is for everybody your not exempt from it
WHERE are the zebras?
HOW are there maybe a total of 5 zebras in the cabinet at the most???? I know people keep them even after the 17th email from SM "yOu mUSt rEtUrN tHe zEbRaS oR iTs aN eCaR" but NO ONE EVER DOES. I just wonder if any other stores are like this.
How much does a sales specialist make in NY?
Hey everyone, quick question for anyone who works/worked at Lowe’s. About a year and a half ago I used to work there and I was mainly in the flooring department as a normal associate . I actually applied again around 2–3 months ago and had an interview because I wanted comeback and the only role they had was lumber and I didn't wanna do that role but I told them I was willing to do it so I can get back into the Lowe's environment , but they ended up rejecting me since they said they didn’t have the position available at the time. Now I just got a job offer from Meta as a Sales Specialist making $25/hr plus commission, and I’m trying to compare the two. For anyone who’s been a Flooring Sales Specialist at Lowe’s, realistically how much were you making with hourly pay + bonuses/commission? Do you think it would be worth waiting and trying for Lowe’s again, or should I just take the Meta offer?
How can I add a cabinet project number to my countertop order?
I ordered cabinets from lowe's yesterday, and this is supposed to give me 5% off on lowes countertops. I ordered countertops on the website last night from lowe's, and I see the 35 + 10 discount applied, but not yet the 5%. I called 1-877-477-1115 and they said I need to contact my cabinet designer so that they can add the 5%, but my cabinet designer is out for the weekend, and I don't think he's returning until after the sale is over.
Does anyone know if there's any way I can add this myself? Was hoping to lock in the price today or at the least May 27th (i think that's the last day for the 35 + 10)
Central delivery instead of store delivery
I have a number of things being delivered to a job site, lots of smalls, appliances, lumber etc. it's coming in 4 deliveries from 4 stores. The market I live in have many Lowe's, LPS, and FBM's appliance warehouse. Why does Lowe's not have a central warehouse to run all their deliveries out of instead of the store delivery system, which to be honest has been a cluster duck. Why do these big box stores not have a central warehouse will the products to run out of? Seems like it would be easier and faster for the customer.
Stepping Down Questions
Hello!! I currently am a team lead. I recently got a medical diagnosis in which stress accelerates the disease. My current position is incredibly stressful and takes a toll on my day to day mental/physical health. I was wondering if anyone knew how I’d go about talking to my SM about stepping down. Do they have to let you step down due to a medical issue? If so, do I just need to show them proof that I actually have the diagnosis, or would I have to go through Sedgwick? TIA
calling out after hours
I haven’t called out in quite a bit and I’m genuinely not feeling good right now. I tried calling the store to call out with the AI but every time I kept telling them I wanted to use my sick time it kept saying “to use bereavement time you need to speak to your store manager transferring you now,” when the store is CLOSED and not even the correct request. Have they updated their system to where you can’t call out after hours? Also, why isn’t there a system in place for the AI to know that after hours nobody’s gonna be available to answer a transferred call. it’s just really frustrating because I have to call out almost an hour before my shift which is very inconvenient, but I have no other choice.
Mini Tote Rack, Sharpie For Scale
Finally built a mini shelf for my mini totes
Just received an email today from my specialty ASM that said from May 30 through July 1 that all specialists are going to get commission. It looks like it’s one percent of total sales for the month. Any thoughts on this? and should I post the email but black out the names?
reddit.comGot promoted to customer!
I’m finally out, Lowes is a meh place to work if any of you are wondering, my store was very lenient, but honestly it get boring doing only 2:30-11pm shifts because the full time is a opener. Then only scheduling on weekends when my availability was open all week, and I specifically hate blackouts.. then days like Mother’s Day all the management favorites are off but the ones they don’t care abt are working… some of the reasons I left. Happy to have left maybe I’m just lazy. I met very good people though.
OT Central
4 hour shift to thug out tomorrow. Paycheck gonna be FAT
Is same day delivery a scam or am I just unlucky?
Hey all, so I was too lazy to actually go to Lowe’s today and paid for same day delivery because lazy. It’s been several hours and the order is stuck on preparing your order. I’m wondering if there’s any kind of prorating if it doesn’t arrive since the items were ordered well within the window for same day delivery. paying $40 for next day delivery ain’t exactly great. I’m starting to wonder if this location just contracts out to Uber and if the job pays too little for anyone to want to take it. I guess I learned my lesson. I got spoiled by the earlier days of Amazon with same day delivery, they’re typically off by a few days these days so I guess local delivery will be as well. thanks.
Outdoor cushions molding after a month
Hello! I purchased a $1500 Allen and Roth (Ashford) set through Lowe’s at the beginning of April. It’s been a pretty dry spring so far, but we have a large storage container we keep them in when it rains. I am already noticing mold growing - pretty much all over the beige cushions from the set. It does not wipe off and I’m pretty bummed about it.
I called Lowe’s tonight and they told me it’s a manufacturer warranty issue, but then I talked to another woman who said I should talk to the delivery department about getting it returned through them since they delivered it.
It seems like no one knows the right protocol for handling this and I would love to get it right because I don’t want to miss out on any warranty windows.
Thank you!!
Captions
Sounds like somebody in corporate was hoping for a different type of ending to help the customer… 😅
In all honesty, they are probably using auto captions and the audio didn’t pick up well enough. I had a good laugh about this though.
Okay Lowes Reddit, how are we feeling about Memorial Day Weekend?
reddit.comCaged Items
I don’t know if this is a national thing or just in my city, but ALL the tools and many other items are under lock and key at all my local stores. It’s frustrating if I need a socket or a wrench, I have to find an associate in an already criminally understaffed store, wait for that person to either get the right person or get a key (some are combo locks), the. That person has to carry the item to the register. If I happen to need multiple items they are under lock and key, or if I’m just buying several items, I can’t just pick up the item and continue shopping. I also like to have things in my hands before I decide to purchase them. I may not like the way it feels when I’ve finally held it. I don’t want to waste my time or the associate’s time looking at more than one item. Caveat: I understand having power tools, etc. a little more secure. I know I can’t be the only one, and I feel like lost sales will eventually outweigh any shrink a store may incur. I’ve just about quit shopping there.
