Unfortunately we spotted a couple of cockroaches in our apartment and have pest control coming out tomorrow to treat it. I don’t know exactly what they will be doing but I suspect they will be spraying the baseboards as the property manager stated the treatment is pet (cats and dogs) safe and said we don’t need to remove our cats from the premises.

I’d like to protect my millipedes as best I can and am seeking advice on how to do so! If anyone has experience this please let me know!

I am considering putting them in a temporary container in an area away from where they will be treating such as up in my closet, and covering their tank securely with a trash bag or Saran Wrap while the treatment happens.

I am so bummed :( I got 3 Florida Ivories a little over 2 weeks ago and they seemed to be doing really well (at least from what I, a newbie to invert care, can tell) - very active, curious, eating and drinking.

Last night I believe this one was struggling with impaction & I found it dead tonight. I’m not sure what could have caused this as I don’t use any coco coir and did my best to research and buy appropriate substrate, leaf litter, and hardwood for them. They have live moss and a cork flat to munch on as well. I keep their humidity at about 75-80% and temp is typically between 72-75°F. I’m just starting to see some springtails in their substrate as well.

I’m going to keep a close eye on the other two and see what happens. They’re alive and move around a bit but seem less active than usual in the last 2 days (I could also just be anxious tho, I saw another poop just fine last night). If you have any ideas about what could’ve happened or what I could do differently please lmk 😔.

I know it’s highly recommended and the gold standard and whatever and I use it but it suuuuucks. Sucks to remove, sucks to put back in. I haaate when I order a threadless piece and the pin is pre-bent because then I have to unbend it just to be able to insert or remove it from my bars 😭.

Edit to clarify: the SLIGHTEST bend is okay but I find the pre-bent pins are at too severe of an angle and are just so mfn hard to insert or remove. I know they’re ~supposed~ to be bent and I’ve never had an issue with losing my tops or having any unwanted movement/looseness. I’d really rather not struggle w my finger up my nose to stabilize the already slimy post enough to shove the pin into it). Yes I have a threadless taper, forceps, and a little grabby tool thing (which honestly is kind of useless bc it is too weak and big to remove the tops so I just use my fingies). Just here complaining because I’m annoyed with a recent purchase sorry 😭

My boyfriend and I were playing games while on a call tonight and ended things about an hour ago. While I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed, he came in and showed me his phone that had an active Discord call from me on it. My computer is turned off and I’m not logged into Discord on my phone.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do I just need to change my passwords or something? Neither of us have experienced that before. I only have 3 friends and am part of 2 communities that I’m not even active in so I’m surprised😭.

The song is probably from the mid 2000s, like 2005-2010. I saw it on MTV or World Music. I think it was in English. It was rap and there was a cello with a melancholy sound most notable in the chorus. The music video setting was very dark in color, mostly black and I vaguely recall a downtown/street setting - it was stylized/animated. I think there were red roses in some frames, and decorative picture frames that showed other video clips and/or photos.

I’m thinking it’s from World Music because there’s been a few songs from that tv channel that I haven’t been able to find and I’m not sure if they’re just deeply unpopular or not available to view in the US.

I’m a feminine afab nonbinary person and tbqh I’m very tired of people telling me I’m trans when I simply am not. I present as a woman (albeit a bit non-traditional, alt style), I’m not really interested in androgyny.

I understand people consider nonbinary to be under the trans umbrella, but personally….i view it as its own thing. There certainly are trans nb people, but that’s not me. It’s frustrating trying to come to a queer community and explaining “no, I’m not trans” and they tell me “oh but you are because of the trans umbrella!”

The last thing I expect from fellow queers is to tell me how I identify instead of just listening to what I’m telling them. It’s not very welcoming and doesn’t feel very accepting, so I largely do not participate in queer or nonbinary spaces bc of that. Not everyone fits into what are essentially just made up categories or boxes.
