Hi, my server’s Owner stated on the 2nd of march this year that he’s moving away from discord but hasn’t deactivated or deleted his account. He also hasn’t sent a message on the discord server or replied to any of my DMs ever since then. He used to have an online status however since then no one saw him online.

This is the reason why after waiting one and a half months on the 19th of April I made a ticket that I made sure to fill out appropriately to request transfer of ownership from discordsupport. On the 29th of April it has been rejected. Since then I tried 2 more time and after a little bit over a week the tickets have been rejected again and again.

We meet the following criteria

1. We are not monetized
2. We are not partnered
3. We are not verified
4. We have 966 members
5. I am requesting the transfer on my own behalf
6. I have admin permission
7. The current owner seems to be gone for good and hasn’t shown activity in well over 2 months either.

The server can’t go on with an inactive owner. What should I do? Keep trying?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but on discord if I accept a friend request, then unfriend the person after like a minute, will it go back to requested on its own or does the person have to request again for it to still show as a request for me?

My friend has her status set to DnD, she went to sleep and her status keeps going from invisible for a while and then to DnD for five minutes until it goes invisible again. Can that have to do anything with what Discord does when someone gets notifications or does she just keep opening Discord and closing it?

A fandom server I'm in was raided with explicit material today. I didn't see any of it, but I left the server as soon as I heard that it was happening. I wasn't super active in the server, but I have chatted in there and even made an event once in the past, so I have history of actively engaging with it.

I know Discord is notorious for doing non-negotiable ban waves when things like this happen, so I'm really nervous that my account is going to be banned for being in the server when it was raided. I've temporarily turned off my account, but does that do anything? Has anyone dealt with a server being raided before? Am I fucked?

I'm running windows 11 25h2 and when I go to open discord, nothing opens, not even the loading thing that spins. Updates and drivers are installed and everything.

i don't really use discord for anything other than checking the channels i have, and with too many i follow i can't remember all the channels by icon only

Anyone know a workaround for the Rune Dice quest? dont think im gonna buy a game and refund it for 1.5 days of nitro lol

I’m trying to join a Discord community, but it says I need around 1000 Reddit karma before I can get access. My account is still new, so I’m currently nowhere near that.

I’m not asking for upvotes or trying to bypass the rule. I’m just wondering if this is a normal requirement for Discord communities, or if it’s unusually high for new users. Is there usually another way to verify yourself, or do you just have to wait and build your account naturally?

Hi Everyone — I manage a few Discord servers and we’ve recently been dealing with a wave of spam/bot accounts joining.

Right now, our process is mostly reactive: we wait until an account posts spam in a channel, then moderators remove the content and ban the account. It works, but it’s creating a lot of manual work and leaves spam visible until someone catches it.

I’m curious how other server admins are handling this earlier in the flow.

What tools, bots, settings, or workflows are you using to detect or limit spam/bot accounts when they join, before they start posting?

A few things I’m especially curious about:

• Verification bots or onboarding flows
• Role gating / delayed posting permissions
• First-message or first-link restrictions
• Account age / join behavior signals
• Honeypot channels or bot traps
• Any native Discord settings you’ve found useful

Would love to hear what’s worked well, what created too much friction for real users, and any tools you’d recommend avoiding.

Does anyone have a rec for an app/plugin that creates an interactive “pet” in the server like a tomogatchi?

I want to add something into my server that would give us all something to tend to and check in on.

I have a small server of friends but a friend invited friends of him and they all have that disturbing "joining sound" everytime they join a voice room everyone has to shut up until those disturbing sounds reproduce I was looking into the options but didn't found it.

Any clue so I can disable everyone joining room sound?

Discord seems to have removed the "advanced settings" option where im told i could disable hardware acceleration.
