Hey guys, this is a project that I’ve been working on for a while, so I hope people enjoy it. Just a fun little exercise for what I would do with the plot of the next Spider-Man game. There will be a link to the full Google doc (30+ pages total) in the replies.
Mechanics Overview
The biggest mechanical change I’ve implemented into my concept is the ability to switch between a duo of two Spider-people during certain missions and on-patrol.
Narrative Overview
The first act follows Miles and Cindy’s time as the city’s sole protectors shortly after graduating high school. As they investigate the Cult of the Flame’s reemergence, Peter is forced to return from retirement to protect MJ and Harry from Carnage’s plans. With Harry nowhere to be found as the dust clears, the second act follows the Goblin Nation’s rise as the Spiders’ search continues. As the Goblin’s true identity unravels, the Spiders find themselves facing enemies on all fronts as old villains return to seek revenge. The third act follows the advent of the Crimson Hour as the Goblin unites Oscorp Security, the Cult of the Flame, and the Goblin Nation in a final attack on the city.
Side Activities Overview
I’ve incorporated unique side activities for all three of the playable Spiders which pit them against foes old and new while bringing in characters from all corners of the Marvel universe and offering closure for mainstays of the Insomniac franchise.
DLC Overview
There are three DLC episodes that center on the different playable characters. The first centers on Cindy Moon as she travels to Seoul shortly after the events of the game and faces a version of the Juggernaut while reconciling with her brother. The second focuses on Miles during his college years as him and his closest friends are hunted by the interdimensional predator, Morlun, ultimately defeating him with his Nuform-infused powers. The last is set 15 years after the events of the game and follows Peter’s daughter as she discovers her superpowers and follows in her father’s footsteps.
