Remember when MJ refused to even communicate with Peter because she was terrified that she'd abandon HIM and his "kids" if she actually talked to Peter?

Then she guilt tripped Peter and blamed him for it by making it about responsibility and implied he was being selfish because he just made it oh so difficult for MJ to ignore his existence so she didn't abandon her new family?

Remember when after running himself ragged to get to MJ, she immediately started shitting on him when he wanted to know what was going on and threw the Uncle Ben thing in his face when he questioned HIS motives?

Remember when she said "Peter's pain is my gain" while laughing?

Good times.

And we had to wait 4 fucking years for a heart to heart? And then another 2 fucking months for MJ to finally fully pull her head out of her ass and actually apologize?

And even then the apology has caveats?

Love modern Spider-Man.

So I explained to my dad today who was an old Spider-Man who stopped reading comics in the 70s one more day. And he just straight up called the book evil and the person who wrote it evil. No other comments it's just is an evil story.

Combined with Xanto Starblood's warning about Peter Parker taking the serum, is the story pointing toward the direction of Peter being pushed by a villain to the point of expanding his powers then becoming unbalanced?

They just released the A Cover for ASM 1000 and….

I’m disappointed that they gave Romita Jr this cover, this cover specifically feels like there is no motion if that makes sense. I’m not of fan of Romita Jr’s art in general so maybe I’m missing something. What are your thoughts on this cover?
