I am kinda late to the party just got chance to play this amazing game this year.
And I must say that idea is genious.
We see some other games trying something similiar like Mortal Shell or Lords of the Fallen, where for example you need ceratin stats treshold to even read the item description ( or use the item severeal times to reveal it ).
Obviously LotF have their own "lamp mechanicsc" and alternative umbral word that you can switch trough...
I really hope we see more stuff like this and other devs interpretation of this concept...
