Little Colorado River turbidity conditions

Kind of a random question, but is there any way of knowing what the current clarity of the LCR is at any given time without actually putting eyes on it in person?

I'm thinking about trail running down to it in November, but only if the color were that trademark aqua-marine. I have been to the confluence before when I kayaked the Canyon, but it was rolling brown that year and I've always wanted to see it when it was blue.

Any info is helpful, thanks!

I've been trying to determine if training based on HR is still as effective when conditions go from optimal temperatures to hot/humid ones.

For example, if someone is running at 9:30/mi pace at 130bpm (and their AeT is 140bpm) when it is 55 degrees and 50% humidity. Then they must drop down to a pace of 10:30/mi when it is 84 degrees and 75% humidity to maintain that same HR, are they still getting just as fit considering the HR is the same?

Intuition tells me that the neuromuscular benefits are decreased, but would the aerobic/metabolic benefits remain the same?

If the aerobic benefits are indeed noticeably decreased, how is it possible to continue to increase ones fitness at the same rate with heat/humidity?
