She is asking for money
We’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 1.5 years. I was supposed to visit her in July and I promised I would, but I wasn’t able to because the cost is too high. She’s from the Philippines and I’m from the U.S.
Before, I used to send her flowers, but she told me to stop because it’s not practical. Last week, when she found out I couldn’t go in July or didn’t have a definite date yet, she became quiet and ended the call, saying she needed to rest.
The next day, we talked again, played games, and spent time together. She asked for $20 because she said she was going to a coffee shop. She often goes to cafés, but this was the first time she asked me for money. I sent it, and she sent me a picture of herself at the café, along with a small flower she bought using the money, and thanked me.
After two weeks, she sweetly asked again for $20 because she wanted to visit a new café.
How should I feel about this?
P.S. She is a working student and has never asked me to cover anything before.
