My home catalogue is mostly live shows I have downloaded from Archive.org/ and after needing to re-do the metadata in my collection (long story) I have been using MP3 tag and have developed a process that I'd like to share.

I have taught Google Gemini what sorts of format thatRoon will (and won't) recognize when metadata is implemented through MP3 tag, and now every time I download a show, I also print to pdf the Archive page, with whatever relevant info it has about the performers, etc...
Then I place all the files in MP3 tag and export a CSV of all tracks.

Next I upload the PDF, and the CSV to Gemini and instruct it to create a text file for me with whatever is missing from the CSV, and available in the PDF, like "InvolvedPeople", album name, track names, artist, year, etc...
