Hi all. im going to give HA a try again, its been a few years.
i have a mix of zigbee, z wave and wifi devices. My rack is in a seperate garage detatched from the house so im going to need to use POE dongles otherwise i think ill have range issues. what do you suggest thats easy to set up and get working. I dont want to get too indepth as im coming from Smartthings and Hubitat.

What LED’s to use? I want good density, as bright as possible with RGBW. I want to use them as white most of the year and just have colours for holidays etc. White needs to be bright.

I’ve changed my HBA card and I’ve lost 2 drives. Both shucked, a 12tb and a 14th. I have the 3.3v cable removed on my startech sata extensions.
If I remove the drives and put them into an external enclose, windows can see the drives under disk manager. But back in the server and Unraid can’t see them at all.
I have 2 parity drives. They are 14tb. I wanted to upgrade those parity drives to 16tb. I have 2 16tb hard drives.
The issue I have here is with 2 unreadable drives and the replacement drives I have being bigger than my parity drives what options do I have?
I’ve either got to find a way to get those 16th drives in without losing data, or get the drives that aren’t working to work.
I’ve already tried multiple different power cables and data cables and ports on the HBA card.
Does anyone have a suggestion because I’m a bit lost.
I just changed a H310 9211-8i it worked fine in the pci e x16 slot. I’ve now added a further 2 drives and upgraded to a LSI 9305-16i in the same slot.
I have connected all 10 drives. 1 of the new ones showed up but had loads of errors during formatting and promptly disappeared.
What could the problem be?
Both invisible drives are connected to different SFF-8643 cables.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
We’re off to Disneyland soon. Which park is better for 4.5 year olds? They all like Marvel and Pixar as well as Disney. I don’t want to book just Disneyland and then they miss out on the other side but I don’t want to pay if there’s no rides for them to go on. We can spend about 1.5 days in the parks if we want to.
Also, is it work booking fast pass or can we fast track per ride?
Mowed the lawn 4 weeks ago, haven’t had time to get back and do it again. Google image search has come up with mint, plum tree, rhododendron and everything in between. There was a sea of them over every area of the lawn. I have a video but can’t upload it.
It’s all mowed now but the woody stems are left. I’m hoping it dies off with regular mowing but I’d like to know what it is.

One AP keeps going offline. Power cycling the POE port brings it back. Site only has 2 U7 lites, both have updated to the 8.6.11 firmware. AP 2 is fine. AP1 keeps going offline.

I have a site with massive latency issues. It’s been one of those sites that’s always had issues but lately it’s unusable.
Latency of 32ms and upwards. Calls won’t go through or disconnect, messages don’t send.
Speeds show about 50% of what they should be.
Various AP’s and a USW 24 POE but the problem is bad hard wired too, not as bad but this isn’t a WiFi issue.
Pinging from AP to AP is less than 0.5ms and sits stable at around that until I stop the ping so I though the switch was ok.
If I ping AP to USW switch, the ping starts off at around 20ms and jumps to 11ms and few seconds later 10ms and faster to 9ms and faster all the way to 0.500ms and then back to 11ms again. See photos.
What’s causing that?
Pinging the other switch on site does the same.
We’re off on holiday and I need to knock something together quickly and cheaply to get a 30x10 lawn watered. I don’t want to leave a sprinkler on the lawn as the grass underneath will die. Any other suggestions on what to use?
