Vancouver BC area! Is the spider eating the bee or the other way around? Hanging out on a clematis flower.

I'm knitting the flax sweater from tin can knits and this has me increasing for the sweater from the neck ribbing with a m1. It left these fairly large spaces evenly placed around the neck. Any way to visually reduce this? Any better increase methods for the next sweater?

Hi, sorry about the terrible art. This little flying bug was very fast, so it was hard to get a photo. It hovered, had a weirdly pointed body and clear wings with dark swirls. I've never seen wings like it! Vancouver BC area, was seen in a red currant bush.
