Thank you so much for everyone who has been suggesting tips and activities for our little girl we were blessed enough to have a dog event in a neighboring town that had a lure course to try out and our girl absolutely had a blast!
My husband and I live in a condo complex so we don’t have a yard and we have a six month old mountain Cur mix. Since we both work from home, we try to walk as much as possible and that usually amounts to about 5 to 6 miles per day but she’s still super high energy at home. Is that just part of her breed or does she actually need more exercise?
When I say walk, we also mean walk not just a sniffari. Sometimes we even take her on hikes with us. I’m a bit too scared to bring her to a dog park not because she’s aggressive but because I’ve heard horror stories of other dogs getting too rowdy and owners becoming a problem.
Edit: just adding in the info that we were originally told she’s a lab mix from the rescue we got her from so while we love the little girl to pieces we didn’t have a background on mountain cur. We will continue to do everything we can to give her the most fulfilled life
