PSA PEANUTS in Pistachios

Hey guys! I bought a bag of great value pistachios yesterday and they contained peanuts. A friend suggested I post a warning here as the bag doesnt even mention it could have traces of peanuts, just almonds.

The lot was W076988

Edit- Store Walmart in East Coast USA

Edit #2- Im calling the FDA number the FDA emergency hotline gave me earlier this am. They dont open until 830a.(The number on the bag was also not open for calls when I opened the bag earlier) Also plan on going back to the store, Im sure theyll be contacted but I want my actual pistachios anyway so lol

Edit #3- Contacted Walmart around 830(number on back of bag) and gave them all the info they requested. Was told theyd report to suppliers, ect. I had called FDA at 830, as directed by the FDA emergency hotline earlier at like 1 am, but the auto machine said a representative wasn't available until 10a. Once I got to a representative, they told me its always quicker to contact the product company, but I could also do a voluntary report on it on safetyreporting.hhs.gov if I wanted to. Did that and submitted photos so hopefully they will take care of everything on their end! Just wanted to update how I ended up reporting it just in case anyone else ever needs to in the USA!

PSA PEANUTS in pistachios

Hey guys! Ive never been in this subreddit so I hope I put the correct flair, as Im not sure if its only for official recalls.

Anyway, I bought this bag of great value pistachios yesterday and they contained peanuts. A friend suggested I post a warning here as the bag doesnt even mention it could have traces of peanuts, just almonds.

I had called FDA at 830, as directed by the FDA emergency hotline earlier in the am, but the auto machine said a representative wasnt available until 10a. Called back then and once I got to a representative they told me its always quicker to contact the product company (which I already had thankfully) but I could also do a voluntary report on it on safetyreporting.hhs.gov if I wanted to. Did that and submitted photos, so hopefully they will take care of everything on their end! But wanted to include that info in case anyone else ever needs to make a report in the USA.
