I’ve posted about my minoxidil experience and why I quit using it. But I wanted to know if anything can be done about the insane shedding I’m experiencing all over my scalp. Even in places I didn’t apply min my hair is shedding constantly.

I get there is a rebound shed by holy fucking moly why has it caused a shed everywhere and is there something I can do to negate this.

I’m stressing and it probably isn’t helping but I’ve been stressed out before in life and never shed hair like this

In December 2025 I decided I would use 5% foam minox. My hair had taken a beating from zyn use and I wanted to try gain some density back. Looking back now my hair was fine.

I used minoxidil for about 3 months and saw no real change. Only change was in my eyes. I had developed blurred vision and a painful stabbing feeling in the backs of my eyes. Lovely hair chemical minoxidil is. I had to stop using the poison in march 2026. It’s been three months having stopped cold turkey and oh boy my hair is a fucking mess. I have aged about 10 years and my hairline has been rinsed aswell as the density of my hair has also dissipated further down the bald toliet. My hair seems to be very dry and thin and hairfall literally happens even when I’m not combing my hands thru my hair. My parents yesterday said they could see hair blowing out my scalp while on a walk.

Also to note the hair that is shedding is of all kind. Hair that seems to be healthy and then hair that is really thin and almost dust like. I’ve never seen hair come out my scalp like this before minoxidil but it looks like fuzz u get off of jumpers. I believe minoxidil kills hairs and miniaturises them. I believe that big pharma purposely designed minox in a way that makes the user have no choice but to keep using and buying the product for life. I’m so below baseline after 3 months and I refuse to believe that 7 months on from December last year that my hair would be this thin and shoddy. Minoxidil is a poison.

I also remember being exhausted in the morning applying it. U have to be so meticulous with the measurement not to over do it and it takes a lot of energy to spread the little amount ur allowed to put on all over ur scalp. Application would literally take me sometimes 20 minutes and I just don’t have that kind of time to be fucking around like that in the morning. If I was to start again it would probably take me only 5 minutes considering my hair is so fucking thin now.

But yea my hair is absolutely shot now no doubt I will be losing more hair over the coming months as I heard people can shed up to a year after stopping. Also another thing to mention is the fact I’m shedding on the sides like crazy probably more on the sides than the top and I didn’t even apply it to the sides. so I don’t know why that’s happening maybe minox induced TE.
