Am I playing the game wrong??
I feel like maybe I am playing wrong. I really feel I’m dying to bullshit. I feel like I’m fighting the game more than the enemies. Everything the PC does is sooooo slow. The basic movement is slow af, the sprint is no better. Pick up animations are super slow. Want to pick up your souls at the last enemy that killed you? Good luck because for some reason this game has two sprint buttons and one of them is on the pick up button for some reason.
Half the time I try to dodge through an enemy attack she actually dodges INTO the enemy and stops then takes the attack. Which is real bad because once you get hit it’s pretty much over. I have no block or parry and the one spell I have requires a ton of distance otherwise I’m getting hit, the spell doesn’t go off and I waste my skyborn charge or whatever it’s called. The dodge doesn’t feel good. The enemies are so aggressive I’m spending all my stamina just trying not to get hit.
I know you’re supposed to dodge forward or to the side, not backward but it really hasn’t helped. I really want to like this game but it just feels off when playing.
Is there some mechanic I’m missing? Do I just need to get farther into the skill tree? Is it really just a skill issue?
For reference I’ve beaten all 3 dark souls while getting the plat for 3. I got plat on bloodborne and Elden Ring, beat sekiro with the sword Saint isshin final battle. I haven’t beat Khazan yet but it’s not giving me issues, it’s actually probably the easiest of the souls likes I’ve played. Am I just shit at this game???
