Life in Bucharest

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Bucharest this September for work. I’m a 26-year-old guy who loves socializing and meeting new people, even outside of a strict work environment. What would you recommend?

I was thinking it would be great to sign up for a Romanian language course to start with. Are there any university-run courses available? Also, do you know of any cozy, slightly quirky or 'freak' cafes where I could work on my laptop and easily connect with other young people? Or maybe places to listen to alternative, electronic, or punk music? Any tips or advice would be super appreciated! :)
