Sewing machine 3 phase help
I bought a sewing machine for really cheap and didn’t realise there would be a plug issue. It’s a Brother DB2-B737-413, and it has “Three phase 400V” on the DC motor control box.
I’m trying to get it to work on a standard UK household plug, but I’m unsure how to go about this. It also has features like auto cut-off and a few others. I wouldn’t mind not being able to use those—I just want a basic sewing machine for home use. I’ve attached some pictures and any help is appreciated.
I also don’t really understand why there are different voltages on different parts of the machine, and some of the cables look like they’ve been taped together. I’m not sure if the person I bought it from has changed the plug or any of the wiring—this is just speculation though.
I’m a fashion student at Uni so I don’t have much knowledge about electrical stuff, so I hope this makes sense.
Also, would simply changing the motor on the machine make it work normally on a UK household plug?
Also the machine does power on and work properly.
Any help is appreciated!!
