8bitdo Pro 2 Switch stick issue
its the pro 2 wired controller for switch. the left stick stops working in certain directions. checking in the ultimate software shows the stick only goes to ~50%. it also only goes to 98% on some spots but i dont think thats an issue. if i click the stick in it goes to 100%.
ive tried the calibration. hold l1+r1+select till light blinks, rotate sticks, press l2/r2, press l1+r1+select again, reboot controller (i assume for wired that means unplug/replug). this does fix it but only for a little while. i just got through playing for a bit over an hour and had to fix it before playing, once during, and then it did it again and i quit playing.
i got the controller in july of 25 so its not even a year old. i first saw this issue in september i think but i thought i had it fixed. i didnt play any games using a controller until recently so i didnt catch that it was a recurring thing until now. ive got the latest firmware, dont think ive dropped it, and im not sure about dust/debris in it but im not sure if that would affect it like this.
any ideas or possible fixes? figured id ask here before dealing with warranties or returns and such.
