Recommend me a CRPG
I tried Baldur's Gate 3 and made it through Act 1 before just deciding it wasn't for me. As someone who enjoys immersive sims and interactive environments, I thought I would love the game, but instead the combat nearly drove me insane. I also found the cast of characters rather unlikeable, and the story mediocre. I also tried DAO and loved the world and characters, but the combat was just a tad too janky for me. Overall, I would like to try another CRPG, so what are your recommendations?
(BTW, ever since trying BG3, I've joined a DND campaign and enjoyed it immensely, and I also enjoy JRPGs, so I doubt I dislike turn-based combat as a whole. Favorite overall RPGs: Metaphor Refantazio, P5, Mass Effect LE, Cyberpunk 2077, Xenoblade Chronicles. I really like my RPGs to have high stakes, like wars, societal shifts, elections, etc.)
