Struggling with Creativity
Am I the only one struggling with the “creative” side of Satisfactory?
I absolutely love the logistics/planning aspect of the game. I optimize production lines, calculate throughput, use only the belt/pipeline tiers I actually need, keep everything clean and organized etc.
I’ve even started giving my rail network proper naming structures inspired by German railway/logistics systems:
- RID/UIC inspired train IDs
- structured station naming
- standardized industrial layouts
- “German DIN-style” production logic
Basically I accidentally turned Satisfactory into some kind of hyper-organized German industrial logistics simulator 😂
The problem:
I want to build nicer looking factories, train lines and infrastructure, but my brain always defaults back to “functional industrial complex” instead of something visually impressive.
I see all these beautiful mega builds online and then look at my world and think:
“Yep. This looks like an industrial planning office designed it.”
How do you guys approach creativity in Satisfactory without completely sacrificing efficiency and clean logistics?
Do you build function first and decorate later?
Or do you intentionally overbuild for aesthetics?
