Hello everyone. This year im going as a vampire bat, and creating wearable bat wings. However, I am having trouble deciding what type of fabric to use for my wings. I am very much a beginner with sewing, and thus do not want to use a fabric that is not beginner friendly.

Besides the wings, I am wearing a leather top, a leather jacket with a popped collar, and a latex fetish mask. Thus, I want the wings to have a similar shine as the rest of my costume. I thought about using some type of synthetic material, but part of me feels a little guilty about wearing something unsustainable.

What do you all think may be good material for my wings?
