Driveline vibration/loose steering
My 97 XJ has some loose steering. Upon inspection, I found that the steering box flexes a little when the wheel is turned. Thus, I'm getting the brace, new bolts, and spacer. And for the driveline, I've recently installed a hack n tap sye and a double Carden rear driveshaft, however now I get really bad vibrations when I hit the gas on the highway to the point where my rear view mirror is shaking. I have the axle pointed parallel to the transfercase shaft, so I'm thinking if I use spacers and point the axle directly (or 2 degrees blow) at the TC shaft might eliminate the vibration? And for the swaybar will dropping it improve handling? My xj has a 6in/ish lift on it. It is my daily, and I am just trying to improve the ride.
The question is, does this all make sense? Will these upgrades/mods be good? Please give me any tips or advice.
