They're supposed to be iron hammer walnuts, but they don't feel particularly heavy, also i noticed what appears to be a crack in the second picture (not sure if it is).

I got this pair shipped from china, and there's some SERIOUS gunk on them so I ordered a hard and soft brush with a cotton glove and a picking tool.

I read the guide on how to care for them and as I am in constant need of fidgeting I was wondering if I can start rolling them or if I should wait for the brush to arrive and make a deep cleaning first.

Also is there a "limit" on how much I should be playing with them? Based on the 30% rolling and 70% brushing rule I would have to brush for most of my time.
